Where to travel to - Top 3 amazing places to visit in Malaysia

I'm proud to recommend my home country, Malaysia to all travelers who going to visit or re-visit Malaysia. Malaysia also has been in Lonely Planet's Best In Travel guide in year 2010.

Being a Malaysian myself, there are still many places for me to explore after so many years. Therefore, I would like to share the top 3 amazing places that you must visit when coming to Malaysia "where to travel to - Malaysia"

1. Georgetown, Penang Island (Pulau Pinang)
Georgetown is the Capital of Penang Island which founded in 1786 by Captain Francis Light, a trader for the British East India Company, as base for the company in the Malay States. He obtained the island of Penang from the Sultan of Kedah and built Fort Cornwallis on the north-eastern corner of the island. 

Subsequently Penang has been growing since then and leaving many great history behind. There are many places to visit in Penang which including Bukit Bendera (Flag hill), snake temple and many more. Other than that the foods such as Asam Laksa, Fried Kuey Teow are among the best, if compared to else where. 





2. Kuala Lumpur Twin Tower (KLCC)
The 88-story Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) soars to a dizzying height of 452 meters  above the Kuala Lumpur City skyline. Your trip to Malaysia will be considered incomplete, if you did not visit the KLCC twin towers which is the landmark to Malaysian. Some of the placed to visit within KLCC. More info here



3. Malacca River (Sungai Melaka)  
Melaka is rich with history and was founded by the Prince Parameswara from Sumatra in 15th Century. It was also once of the major port or a must stop for merchants from China, India, Arab and many more for trading purposes. The one of the critical success factor was the the Melaka river or known as 'Venice Of The East" by the European seafarers, signifies the emergence of Malay Sultanate of Melaka; which marked the beginning and ending of each war. The Melaka river was once of the main factors attracted foreign colonization, and it was the place where Melaka began until the modern city of Melaka today.
